I Left my job!

Working From Home

6 weeks ago I resigned from my job as a computer analyst in the IT department of a top city law firm. I had wanted to do this for sometime, as I really wanted to go into business for myself and be the master of my own faith, but as usual when you have been used to a guaranteed salary at the end of the month, you have bills to pay, it can be difficult to give up that security and take the step into a world of the unknown starting a business and all the uncertaintity that goes with it.

So prompted by a major change at my work place, I decided to take the step, and Friday 13th April was my last day working as an employee. I do have things lined up that I'm working on, a source of some guaranteed income, but nothing that currently matches my last places salary. I will however be doing something that I have a passion for, have a potential to make more money as the venture grows, and the rewards I get with be proportional to the efforts I put in, with all the bonuses being paid to me initially.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm not apprehensive of what the future holds working for myself, but I'm going to give it a good shot, and believe that what God has in stock for me is better than what I had while employed.

My family will always be a reason to spur me on, and least I will be working from home.

Hi Shola,

What can I say? You're a braver man than me - I wish you all the very best in your future plans.

Out of curiosity, do those plans involve any thing to do with filming or hang-gliding?
